Son Amar is a very special and unique events venue. A 16th century Mallorquin manor house, set in the foothills of the majestic Tramuntana mountains, in acres of ground, the possibilities that Son Amar offers are only limited by your imagination.
First impressions count and winter or summer, night or day, your guests won’t fail to be impressed. With an incredibly spacious car park, immediately the event starts off stress-free. By the time your guests have enjoyed the short walk up the orange-scented tree-lined drive, romantically torch-lit by night, and then taken their first glimpse of the beautiful balustraded grand house, they’ll be completely relaxed and captivated by this historic venue. You may also have treated them to your first surprise, an elegantly costumed guard-of-the-manor astride a magnificent stallion, waiting to salute them at the end of the drive.
Through the elegant archway, guests then enter a fine example of the fabled Mallorquin courtyard, where in centuries past this delightful architectural space formed the hub of the family home, the village meeting place for exchanging gossip or flirting with a young maiden, and the place where hospitality was granted to strangers and their horses alike. As well as the gracious sweeping staircase that leads to the balcony, in Son Amar’s courtyard you’ll discover the prettiest private chapel, preserved for centuries and still functional today. The courtyard can be dressed according to your wishes, it can be the first place you offer your guests a welcome drink and delicious canapés, maybe even accompanied by our classical guitarist. Or perhaps you would prefer to lead them through to Sa Tafona, where once the olive press dominated this spectacular room.
It’s in this grand Tafona that Son Amar hosts cocktail parties, dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and corporate as well as important political events. We are delighted to be able to cater events ranging from the grand affair with hundreds to the small and intimate, and each private event is superbly customised to suit your exact needs. Imagine hosting your wedding at Son Amar – it couldn’t be more romantic, especially when you use our horse and carriage to carry you from your limousine to the reception.
